BRIEF NOTES FROM THE MEETING:

1.      Present: Sandra Graves, Tom & Ruby Walkinshaw, Kayla Bluth, Sophia Fire

2.      Treasurer’s Report:

Checking balance as of meeting date, $4,255.32.

Reserve balance as of meeting date, $36,392.85.

3.      Committee Reports:

Pool: Pool and Spa pumps have been replaced.

Landscaping:  At building 2 old, dying, obstructive plants/trees were removed.  23 total.

Irrigation replacement at building 2 will be scheduled soon. A notification of replacement dates will go out to residence, particularly those who live in building 2 (largest building on 1^st street).

Arbor Care to arbor pine trees on north side at building 2 on October 5^th.

4.     Next meeting scheduled for Wednesday October 25^th, and 5:45 pm, at Pool.

The irrigation system for building 1 was completed the week before last! The materials chosen are of excellent quality and should endure 20+ years. The price was very good.

10 young cyprus trees were planted around the pool.

A dwarf ruby moro orange tree and a kumquat tree were planted on the west side of bldg.

A fig tree was planted at the far east of property.

A lemon tree is now located near the electric box and green belt.

Natal plum bushes and lantana were planted along the eastern side of building.

Natal plums were also planted between the dirt lot and our greenbelt, which is part of a plan to create an obstacle to people coming through the dirt lot into our property to walk their dogs.

To save money, all of the plants/trees purchased were the smallest sizes. But before long they'll be big and beautiful.

Yesterday the irrigation system around building 5 was completely replaced. A big leak had developed. It would have been a significant and costly repair. So rather than just fixing that problem, we decided to put the money towards the inevitable system replacement of the entire building. 

The plants/trees around building 5 were still in good shape, so not much landscaping needed to be added. However, we did remove the huge deer-grass bush and replaced it with an Arizona Sweets orange tree. We also relocated the RSV neighborhood award sign to the southernmost entrance of the community and put in a mandarin orange tree in its stead.

We hope these fruit trees will be a blessing to everyone one day.
